Diversity audit
Unlike most approaches to auditing equal opportunities, CA’s approach is aimed at understanding the dynamics of the organisation’s response to difference. Most organisations already have numerical data about advancement of people from disadvantaged groups. For change to occur, however, it is important to understand the critical perceptions that drive the behaviours of both those in power and those out of power. Using questionnaires and interviews, we build up a picture of recurrent assumptions by both groups that promote or hinder diversity and how those assumptions interact. Only when these dynamics are understood, is it possible to address diversity management problems effectively.
