Supervision

Clutterbuck Associates are planning to host a series of regular bi-monthly group supervision sessions for executive coaches. The sessions are open to experienced coaches, working either independently or within companies. The supervisor will in most cases be Professor David Clutterbuck, one of Europe's foremost authorities in coaching and mentoring.

Each session will be open to up to 6 coaches. Participants need to sign up for 6 x3 hour sessions over a 12 month period. Sessions will take place during working hours at CA's headquarters in Burnham, Bucks, but can also be held by arrangement in London and/or in the evening, if a group wishes.

The learning contract will be customised with and for each group, although basic rules, such as confidentiality, will be generic. In a typical session, each coach will have an opportunity to present a client or an issue for analysis by the group, facilitated by the supervisor. Two issues will be explored in detail. In between sessions, coaches will be expected to:

  • maintain a learning log, based at least in part on the seven conversations in coaching
  • participate in any on-line discussion topics agreed by the group
